We were happy to welcome more than 130 participants at the German Primate Center in Göttingen and had a wonderful time full of stimulating talks and discussions. Thank you all for your contributions to GfP2019 and we are looking forward to seeing you all at GfP 2021 in Utrecht.
We are excited to welcome you to the 16th Conference of the Gesellschaft für Primatologie in the “City that creates knowledge”.
Göttingen has a long-standing tradition in primatological research, both at the German Primate Center and the Georg-August-University.
For the current meeting, we invite contributions from all disciplines that work with and about non-human primates, including but not restricted to veterinary sciences, evolutionary biology, animal cognition, behavioral ecology, animal welfare, neurosciences, ecology, and comparative psychology.
We aim to foster the exchange of ideas, and will create a vibrant and social environment providing ample opportunity for chats and discussions between poster sessions and talks, during the reception, and at the conference party that is included in the registration fees.
We particularly hope for the participation of many PhD and Master students, as we believe that the meeting will be the ideal meeting point for junior researchers and a great opportunity to present their work to the scientific community. The GfP honors the three best poster and oral presentations by students with prices.
Margaret Crofoot (Davis): Collective Behaviour
Amanda Melin (Calgary): Sensory Ecology
Andrea Migliano (Zurich): Human Ecology
Christoph Völter (St. Andrews): Cognition
